The Australian Data Archive and Asia Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to allow the Australian Data Archive to host the Asia Foundation’s extensive survey collection from its 18-country network in Asia.

Professor Matthew Gray, Director of the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods at which the Data Archive is based, and Asia Foundation Senior Vice President Gordon Hein, reached the agreement in December 2017.

“The ADA will host the Asia Foundation’s extensive survey collection on issues such as corruption, gender-based violence, the business climate, the state of democracy, and more,” Professor Gray says.

“In addition, the MOU will allow the ADA to disseminate survey data to external audiences, broadening CSRM, ADA and the Asia Foundation’s reach and impact.”

The Asia Foundation says both parties will further explore interactive visualization tools, and possible involvement of the Centre in technical aspects of survey methodology, quality, and dissemination.
