Vikas Chinchansur is currently working as Software Engineer with Australian Data Archive (ADA) at The Australian National University (ANU). He mainly works on the CADRE project, and his roles and responsibilities include designing and developing the CADRE platform for data access management.
He is a Masters of Computing graduate from ANU, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. As part of his final semester academic internship, he worked as Intern for CSIRO, wherein he mainly researched different feasible deployment options for the Anomaly detection system on the AWS cloud. His Bachelor's was in Computer Science Engineering at the Visvesvaraya Technological University affiliated college in Bangalore, India.
Before joining ADA, Vikas worked for Geoscape Australia in the core platform team, developing frameworks and components of Geo-spatial data-related products. He has also served four years as a full-stack developer at Infosys Limited in many different roles.
His specialty includes coding multiple programming languages, architecting applications on AWS Cloud, and developing responsive custom websites. A few of his skills are Java, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap, SQL/PostgresSQL, and AWS.
