The ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods (CSRM) research focuses on:

  • The development of social research methods
  • Analysis of social issues and policy
  • Training in social science methods
  • Providing access to social scientific data

The Australian Data Archive (ADA), based within CSRM, provides access to the largest Australian collection of surveys and social scientific data.

Units within CSRM include the Modelling Team, the Criminology Program and the Centre for Gambling Research (CGR).

CSRM is responsible for the ANU’s Bachelor of Criminology and the Master of Social Research. CSRM is also responsible for the social science components of the Master of Applied Data Analytics and offers executive training in research methods and policy analysis.

CSRM is a joint initiative between the Social Research Centre (SRC), an ANU Enterprise business, and The Australian National University (ANU), established in 2015.
