Cukkoo is a Research Officer in the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods, where she works on models of Australian Government taxes and social welfare payments. Her research interests are in the areas of microsimulation modelling, quantitative public policy analysis and applied statistics. Cukkoo has contributed towards the development and maintenance of ANU’s policy microsimulation model, PolicyMod. Her current work focuses on analysing household expenditure data using spatial microsimulation modelling techniques.

Prior to her current role, Cukkoo was with the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling (NATSEM) at the University of Canberra. At NATSEM, her focus was on housing market analysis.
