Weifan is Data Archivist with the Australian Data Archive at the Australian National University. his responsibilities include developing Data Risk Assessment Tool using R shiny and ensuring the smooth and timely processing, archiving and dissemination of research data and related documentation provided by the Australian Data Archive, providing advice and assistance to data providers and the data users of the archive’s resources.

Weifan holds a master's from Australia National University in Machine Learning and computer vision, and a bachelor's from Australia National University in Advanced computing (honours). He was an Industrial trainee at CSIRO in 2019, post-processing climate data based on ACCESS-S1 and BARRA.

His expertise includes developing Shiny applications, data processing using R and Python, Data Quality Assurance, Quality Control, machine learning and computer vision.
